Rivermouth Tour

Depart from the west side of El Paredón and paddle around the last bend of the channel, passing the Acome River. At low tide, large numbers of estuary birds can often be seen feeding along the sand flats. The trip continues to the sandpit near the river mouth, where you can enjoy the solitude and cool off in the gentle currents. It is an ideal adventure to schedule around sunset.

Created for wildlife lovers, this adventure passes the river mouth before entering secret mangrove channels that lead to La Poza del Nance. This deep-water lagoon is a feeding area where Galápagos green sea turtles may be seen throughout the year. It is one of our most challenging and rewarding tours, with sun, currents and occasional wind along the route.

El Naranjo Wildlife Tour

Begin in the colorful village of El Naranjo, located near the headwaters of the reserve. Paddle quietly through the narrow upper section of the estuary while looking for waterfowl, turtles, boas, iguanas and even otters. The route continues through dense mangroves before opening into a wider channel leading back toward El Paredón. This longer 9.5 km adventure is best suited for experienced paddlers and dedicated wildlife enthusiasts.

Sipacate–Naranjo Kayak Expedition

Paddle through the entire Sipacate–Naranjo Nature Reserve on a two-day, 20+ km expedition. The first day follows the El Naranjo route before an overnight stay at a private villa with a pool in El Paredón. On the second day, paddle toward La Poza del Nance, explore hidden mangrove channels and finish in Sipacate with a fresh seafood lunch.
